Working with existing logos

I liked the simple and modern look of the "Blackwell" existing logo, therefore worked with circles (saturn/space) and text. The "Arwood" logo is very similar, however I think the circle fits more with the brief than the square. I really like my appropriation of the "Barbour" logo however it is too similar. I will work with this one, I like my font used. I believe the "Nova" look alike doesn't work. I don't like that font or the black background, maybe if it was grey? I will also work on my purplr book graphic.
